Update: A Steadier Server, a Redesigned Projects Page, and Honest Compile Errors

TeXposit now runs on real OS threads, so one long job can no longer freeze or restart the app, and provenance reports generate in the background behind a progress page. The projects page is redesigned as a desk with a workspaces rail and a folders-as-columns board view. Compile failures report as compile failures instead of fake server outages, a connection-lost modal reconnects live, and you can upload a whole folder from the editor.

Three changes worth a closer look

Change notes for update build 260924

  • Steadier under load: the app runs on real OS threads; one long job cannot freeze or restart it for everyone else.
  • New: board view: folders render as columns you can scan at a glance, with a permanent "Uncategorised" column for everything else.
  • New: Upload Folder: pick a directory from the editor's file menu and its contents come in with progress, subject to a per-upload cap.
  • Faster first AI reply: when you start an assistant task, one batched planning call now pre-loads the right skill and files, so the model stops spending its first round-trips discovering its own setup.
  • Clearer AI states: the assistant shows a Stopped state when you halt it mid-task, and a specific message when a turn fails, instead of silence.
  • Calmer compile and loading animations: breathing dots replace spinners while compiling or while the live preview boots.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed compile failures looking like outages: a failed recompile used to return an HTTP error that the web server replaced with its own error page, so the editor told you "the compile server could not be reached" about your own missing brace.
  • Fixed a misread no-op compile: when the build tool declined to rerun after an earlier failed attempt, TeXposit sometimes treated that refusal as a fresh failure and hid your last good PDF.
  • Fixed the assistant's approval wait ignoring stops: a rejected or abandoned edit is now noticed promptly instead of the turn continuing to run.
