This build's biggest news is stability. We found and fixed the cause of the intermittent outages some of you have seen over the past months, including a separate issue that turned brief slowdowns into minutes of real downtime. Alongside that: faster PDF viewing, a smaller live-preview download, and quicker warm-up on new projects.
Stability: found it, fixed it
Under heavy use, TeXposit would sometimes go down for a minute or more, then recover on its own. We tracked this down to two separate problems and fixed both: occasional slowdowns were taking longer than they should to clear, and a bug in the automatic recovery itself was turning a brief outage into a much longer one.
Both are confirmed fixed, tested before and after: what used to take 60–94 seconds to recover from now takes single-digit seconds, and we've substantially raised how much load TeXposit can take before slowing down at all.
Faster PDF viewing, smaller downloads, quicker warm-up
Reopening a PDF or switching tabs is now ~63% faster. The live-preview engine your browser downloads is now much smaller — ~74% smaller for the core engine and 20–43% smaller for its package data — so it's quicker to get started. And common LaTeX packages are ready the moment you need them instead of a short delay on first use.
