Transitioning from Overleaf is straightforward. Since TeXposit uses standard LaTeX, your source files and folder hierarchies will feel right at home.
Step 1: Export from Overleaf
In your Overleaf project, open the Menu (top-left) and click Download as source (.zip). You get a .zip file containing all your .tex, .bib and image files.
Step 2: Import to TeXposit
On your TeXposit projects page:
- Click Upload in the toolbar above your project list. The Import Project from .zip dialog opens.
- Choose the ZIP file you downloaded from Overleaf. Add a project name if you want one; otherwise the zip's name is used.
- Click Import Project. TeXposit extracts all files and sets up your project for you.
Migrating many projects at once
If you have a whole Overleaf account's worth of projects to move, repeating the steps above one at a time is slow. migrate-to-texposit is a small open-source script that lists every project in your Overleaf account and imports all of them in one run. It runs on your own machine, so your Overleaf login never passes through TeXposit's servers.
